What is your hair care regimen?
I usually go to the salon and get my hair done every two weeks. Shampoo, I sit up the dryer for 15 mins as suggested. I don’t care to sit under the dryer at all but a good protein deep conditioner is a must!! Sometimes I skip the extra heat and leave with just a blow dry and ponytail. I do not use any heat on my hair ever in between appts.
Do you take any supplements? If so, what are they?
Currently I am not taking my regular 1 a day women’s multivitamin that I usually take.
What is your hair goal (how long do you want your hair to be)?
I pretty much like to keep my hair bra length. Any longer I get it cut for personal reasons. I thought about letting it grow to see how long it would get.
Currently, how long is your hair and what is your hair type?
I just recently got a cut so my hair is down to the middle of my back. I think I have a mix of hair types 3 and 4. Some days it has a more tighter pattern like 4 but then others it has an “S” type curl like 3.
Are you natural? If so, how long have you been natural?
Yes Im natural. I have been natural for 4yrs. It’s really hard at times but nothing a ponytail holder can’t fix!!! Just because you go natural it doesn’t mean you have to wear a nappy head or an afro. I think people have a misconception of what going natural is all about. Or maybe its just their preference.
What are the things that you feel have helped you the most in achieving and maintaining your hair length?
I think it’s very important to maintain a regular hair regimen. If you want results you have to sacrifice and spend a little more time on your hair. It is a little harder to manage natural hair during the summer months but once you have made it through August you look forward to those upcoming no humidity days.
